Flashback Friday-Arun and Iva’s Wedding- July 4, 2010

Today we are flashing back to July 4th, 2010 for Arun and Iva’s Wedding at the Doubletree Hotel on International Drive in Orlando, Florida. With this wedding we were able to take the Doubletree Ballroom and completely transform it, with floor to ceiling pipe and drape, so that it was virtually unrecognizable. We had complete discretion when it came to designing the room as long as we made sure that we kept true to an Indian and Latin Inspired Color Scheme. We used alternating linen colors on the estate and family tables, bringing in bright plum and light-capturing paprika colors. Using a complete lighting design package, the artfully thought-out color changes helped to give the room a very etherial feel. Each time the Ballroom’s color palate evoloved, it felt as if you were transported to an entirely different Ballroom. Thousands of flowers, including roses, lilies, orchids and irises, were used to help expand on the theme of the Bride and Groom in gorgeous centerpieces on the estate tables as well as the thoughtful use of manzanita trees, adorned with crystals and floral, on all of the round family tables. The wedding cake was also designed around a beautiful manzanita tree showcased in it’s center. To add in addtional color and an extra special touch, the dance floor was also custom wrapped displaying the couple’s monogram. The paprika color was again used here with the momgram in the plum lettering.
